that's a very interesting point, but perhaps Ed wanted to concentrate on
learning about something he had no prior knowledge of, rather than exploring
further into the world he was already so familir with. i dunno, that's just my
take on it.
Mine was vol. 1 of Shaman King (Viz Media),
since I was obsessed with the anime at that time and wanted to read the manga
since everyone said it was so much better (which is true in comparison to the
dub). That was about 2-3 years ago (can't recall exactly) and I'm happy
to still be collecting avidly.

I'd have to agree with some peopel here and sya it depends on the anime itself;
for example, several series I've seen and enjoyed, Sukishou, Gravitation, Loveless, Fruits Basket, I wish had been
longer (for one reason or another).
But for others such as Naruto or InuYasha, that while I enjoy the majority of
these two (though I still have issues with InuYasha), I
feel very strongely against pointless fillers - which can deminish my enjoyment
of the series overall, and it gets very aggrivating when it feels like over
20-50 episodes could've been cut out and it wouldn't affect the series as a
whole. So in that aspect, I wish they were shorter. But for some
series, I think they should have a longer run.
Well, personally, outta Negi's class and the series' girls in general... I'd sya
my favorites are Setsuna Sakurazaki,
Evangeline A.K. McDowel, and probably
Asuna Kagurazaka.

cast; Fate (however u spell his last
name) & Kotaro Inugami.
